Today, we would like to share some interviews showcasing how the manufacturing industry utilizes document centralization solutions.
Manufacturing companies often deal with critical documents containing key technologies, such as product drawings and blueprints. Document leaks can lead to significant financial losses and damage to the company's reputation. Thus, robust document security is crucial. Additionally, creating an environment that facilitates efficient and systematic document management for collaboration is essential.
Let's see how other companies addressed their concerns and how they resolved them with document centralization solutions.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nexen Tire
2016 / Destiny ECM

Nexen Tire implemented Destiny ECM in 2016. Previously, they lacked a systematic approach to managing accumulated outputs over the years. Employees selectively uploaded outputs to the company file server, leading to fragmented and scattered documents across individual PCs, hindering collaboration. To create an efficient and systematic work environment, they adopted document centralization.
Destiny ECM features a multi-dimensional classification system, which categorizes documents based on various attributes. This allows users to easily find and utilize documents through diverse classification systems. By centralizing scattered documents, Nexen Tire established a well-organized knowledge content library that maximized document utility.

Another advantage of having documents centralized is the ease of sharing newly generated work outputs with other users. Users can find necessary documents by simply searching the central server. Access permissions ensure that document utilization and security are both maintained.
Amotech
2017 / Destiny ECM

Before adopting document centralization, Amotech, an electronic components manufacturer, managed critical company documents on individual PCs. This posed risks of information leaks and malicious deletions. Additionally, finding necessary documents was cumbersome, as employees had to locate colleagues holding the required documents, leading to inefficiencies.
To address these issues, Amotech implemented a document centralization solution, storing work outputs on a central server without keeping files on individual PCs. Customizations enabled not only document management but also project management. This reduced the need for separate systems for document and project management, lowering investment costs and easing management burdens. Amotech utilized the Technology Leak Prevention System project to partially fund the implementation.
Chosun Refractories
2017 / Destiny ECM

Chosun Refractories, a comprehensive refractory manufacturer founded in 1947, had a vast amount of documents. They needed a document management system to utilize these documents as basic work materials without risking leaks. Managing documents on individual PCs made it difficult to know what documents were stored, leading to issues with handovers.

With the document centralization solution, Chosun Refractories could integrate and manage documents stored across various work systems like groupware. This system records document work history, allowing easy document retrieval and preventing duplicate document creation. They highly value the version management feature, which stores all versions of a document, enabling recovery of previous versions in case of errors.
SGC Solutions
2019 / cloudium

SGC Solutions, the manufacturer of 'Glasslock' containers, previously used DRM for document security. To enhance security and convenience, they adopted Cyberdigm's document centralization solution. Initial self-approval for document extraction helped ease the transition. The system detected and prevented an attempted mass document extraction, leading to enhanced security measures. They implemented a flexible policy allowing local storage for design and factory development teams while banning it for other departments, all under central management.
SGC Solutions also resolved issues with email storage limits by using the document centralization solution’s URL feature, facilitating quick and easy sharing of large files.
Green Power
2015 / cloudium

Green Power, a manufacturer of electrical conversion devices, needed to strengthen security for development-related outputs as their business expanded in 2015. Without an existing document management system, they adopted a document centralization solution to manage and secure documents simultaneously.
They implemented a strict centralization policy for research and development personnel, requiring all important research documents to be stored on the central server to prevent external leaks. Other departments, needing to share documents externally, followed a general policy but required approval for document extraction, significantly reducing leak risks. Green Power also praised Cyberdigm's quick and thorough technical support.
